Prior to her full time involvement in fashion, style and entertainment, Rebecca Luke was executive director of The Homeless Challenge, a United Way of KingCounty program, designed to organize the community around a common goal of ending family homelessness, and Development & Events Coordinator for ZionPreparatoryAcademy. Rebecca maintains an active role in the social and environmental issues that affect her community and has committed much of her personal time to further these causes whenever and wherever possible. As Co- Founder of the Sustainable Style Foundation in 2002, Rebecca continues to merge her passion for giving back with her style industry experience.

She is a member on the faculty advisory committee for the Human Environmental Sciences department at SeattlePacificUniversity and has currently authored a chapter in a Fairchild publication, “Sustainable Fashion Why Now?”, and co-authored a contribution paper toward the international “Global Sustainable Development: A Challenge for Consumer Citizens” e-book; This publication was launched at the XX1th IFHE (International Federation for Home Economics) Congress 2008 that took place in Lucerne, Switzerland. Rebecca has traveled the globe speaking on the topics of sustainability, as well as, wardrobing, dressing and image.
